Marcey grew up in Zimbabwe in Southern Africa.  She first came to the U.S. as a high school exchange student in Janesville, Wisconsin.  She returned in the early 2000s to pursue a college education in Idaho and then a graduate degree in California.  After college, Marcey moved to the D.C. area for work and made the area her home.  She became a naturalized citizen in 2015.  Marcey has worked at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) since 2018; she is now as Administrative Officer there.  Marcey and her sister own a farm in Dickerson where she enjoys spending time and experimenting with various crops.  In her spare time, Marcey loves traveling and meeting new people, and being part of her Book Club.  She travels regularly to Zimbabwe where she is working on a plan to support schools in rural and underprivileged areas.
