A big THANK YOU to our Ag Reserve Community!

Sugarloaf Citizens Association welcomed some 250 community members on June 2 at Linden Farm to celebrate SCA’s golden anniversary—50 years of preserving and protecting the Ag Reserve. Montgomery County Councilmembers Marilyn Balcombe, (District 2) and Laurie-Anne Sayles (At-large), and Maryland State Delegate Lilly Qi (District 15), were special guests. Balcombe and Qi presented proclamations recognizing SCA’s accomplishments. The star of the event was delicious Ag-Reserve sourced food donated by local producers from a menu crafted by a local caterer. It was a fantastic day full of music, food, friends, and fun to amplify our mission and set the stage for continued efforts to protect farming, promote sustainable agriculture, and preserve open space.
