Community Farm Share

Community Farm Share makes it possible for community members to help provide a family experiencing food insecurity with a weekly bag of diverse, nutritious fruit and vegetables from a local, small scale produce farm from the spring to fall growing season.

During 2022, Community FarmShare provided fresh farm produce each week of the agricultural season to 130 families in Montgomery County through our partnerships with schools, health clinics and community based organizations that serve our local communities.

Since we purchase all produce from Montgomery County small scale vegetable farms, Community FarmShare also supports our local farmers, and is a key player in helping to build a resilient local food system in the region, which benefits all eaters. Through purchasing fresh produce from small scale table crop farmers, we invested over $135,000 in 2022 into building a resilient local food system.
