American Farmland Trust
The mission of American Farmland Trust is to help farmers and ranchers protect their land, produce a healthier environment and build successful communities. Founded in 1980 by a small group of forward-looking farmers and conservationists who were alarmed by how much of the nation’s farmland was being paved over for sprawling development the organization has protected over three million acres of farm and ranch land and established environmentally sound farming practices on millions more.

Audubon Naturalist Society
The Audubon Naturalist Society inspires residents of the greater Washington, DC, region to appreciate, understand, and protect their natural environment through outdoor experiences, education, and advocacy.

Town of Barnesville
Barnesville’s town's motto, "A Caring Community," is a testament to the sense of place enjoyed by the Town's residents and their neighbors in the Agricultural Reserve of Western Montgomery County.

The Maryland Native Plant Society
The Maryland Native Plant Society’s mission is to promote awareness, appreciation, and conservation of Maryland’s native plants and their habitats. We pursue our mission through education, research, advocacy, and service activities.

Montgomery Countryside Alliance
Evolved from Solutions Not Sprawl founded in 2001, Montgomery Countryside Alliance's mission is to advocate for land use and transportation policies that enhance agriculture and land preservation; educate about the environmental, economic and recreational benefits of local farmland; support local farms to strengthen our rural economy; celebrate the beauty and abundance of the Ag Reserve and to conserve the economic value and rural landscape of the Ag Reserve for current and future generations of the region.

National Capital Farms
The website of the Agriculture Working Group is supported by the Washington Metro Council of Governments. This group is involved with agricultural activities within a 150 mile radius of Washington DC. The website includes a farm search tool, agriculture classifieds, and local farming statistics.

North Potomac Citizens Association
NPCA is a volunteer-run organization working to maintain and enhance the quality of life within the North Potomac community.

The Sugarland Ethnohistory Project seeks to preserve the Black, African-American Historical Resources in the Sugarland Community of Montgomery County, Poolesville, Maryland.  The site is for anyone and everyone interested in learning about the Black/African-American history of Sugarland Community and their transition from slavery to freedom.

West Montgomery Citizens Association
The West Montgomery County Citizens Association strives to maintain quality of life by monitoring growth and by placing the highest priority on green space. WMCCA aims to protect the environment; perpetuate animal and bird habitats; encourage low density, controlled growth and confined commercial areas.
