SCA’s 15th Annual Plant Swap is this Saturday, 10am to noon, at Linden Farm, 20900 Martinsburg Rd in Dickerson. Buy, sell, swap or give away. Come even without goods and help us make sure there are no homeless plants. This event will be held outdoors and is open to the public. Don't forget to sign up for a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) for the summer and early fall. Doing so helps small and mid-size local farms thrive. In the last few years some local CSAs have struggled for a variety of reasons. We strongly support locally grown table crops. Produce in grocery stores must be transported from afar, sometimes across the country or from other countries. It’s thus less likely to be fresh and more likely than locally grown produce to have been treated with chemicals or preservatives. And it’s often packaged in plastic.
